Zilal is a dynamic organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development and
community empowerment. Since its inception, Zilal has been at the forefront of driving
innovative solutions to address the pressing challenges faced by underprivileged
communities. With a strong focus on inclusivity and sustainability, Zilal works tirelessly to

Our Focus

Community development initiatives play a crucial role in fostering sustainable progress and empowerment within societies. In the unique context of Zilal, a region with its distinct challenges and opportunities, it is paramount to understand the complexities of community development efforts. By exploring strategies to build sustainable partnerships, implement innovative solutions, empower local participation, and foster resilience, Our Focus is to provide a comprehensive guide to overcoming obstacles and achieving long-term success in community development initiatives in Zilal. Through collaboration and strategic planning, we can pave the way for a brighter future for our community.

Health Programme

Conducted 16 medical camps and outreach activities benefiting over 50,000 individuals. Increased access to life-saving health and nutrition interventions in Kereinik, Jabal Moon, and Sirba localities.

Economic Development

Provided vocational training to 80 women groups, benefiting more than 500 individuals. Supported 300 small enterprises with funding from USAID Sudan office.

Education Programme

Built 2 schools funded by Catholic Relief Services and UNAMID. Distributed over 6,400 books to 14 schools with UNAMID funding. Constructed 8 classrooms, a kitchen, and a store under Catholic Relief Services funding.

Social Justice

Launched advocacy campaigns promoting gender equality and human rights, reaching 100,000 people.

Environment Conservation

Planted 100,000 trees and established 20 community gardens.

Water & Sanitation

Implemented a clean water access initiative, rehabilitating water wells with hand pumps to serve over 10,000 beneficiaries.

Sustainable Project

The Zilal Sustainable Project stands as a beacon of innovation and community-driven change, showcasing the transformative power of sustainability initiatives. With a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, social progress, and economic development, this project has emerged as a vital force for positive impact within the community.
